Hello !
Lecture!
Bonjour,
We are a group of French fans. When we found out that our favourite TV show would not return for a 4th season, we decided to write to you just to thank you and let you know how much we have enjoyed watching Veronica Mars.
First of all, you need to know that the TV show only aired in France only from February to April of 2007, from season 1 to the 3.08 episode. Even though, the TV show was quite a success in here, it was replaced by a daily show about our version of American Idol(yeah seems like in a certain way, we got Pussycatdolled too) and now there are very slight chances that they will air the end of Season 3. That’s why you can understand how frustrating it was for us not only to find such a great show but only to be able to enjoy it for such a short time just to find out we won’t even have the opportunity to see the end(…well we did thanks to the Internet but shhhh!)
We guess as many of American fans, we fell in love with this show because of the characters. They were not perfect. They all had their own hidden agenda and just tried to make it through life… They were just human and real. A little blonde girl (that is certainly not your O.C average type) who was smart and brave. But in the meantime still a teenage girl trying to figure out who she was. And she was helped and challenged by all these complex men around her. Her father. It was really nice of you to write a father-daughter relationship… Will we dare say it was almost a male version of Gilmore Girls? Then there was her BFF Wallace. They had a strong friendship that is rare to see on screen, especially between a girl and a boy. We were also happy to see Veronica bond with Mac (being a computer geek is cool, indeed) Eli Navarro (Esquire), the gold-hearted biker, Don Lamb (the one we just looove to hate). Last but not least, the two loves of her life: Duncan and Logan. Most of us only shipped for the epic LoVe but we came to an agreement about the nice relationship Duncan and Veronica that was not mean to last eventually because we wanted to see Veronica and Logan together...and yes we did hoped until the last minute of the show.
Once again, thank you for creating Veronica Mars. We only wished we could have had the 3 years of watching and being crazy about the show that American viewers had. We discovered great actors and there is no doubt that we’ll keep supporting them and you in the future.
Much love from France.
